RITA LINDBAK

Rita Lindbak has a master degree in political science from the University of Trondheim. She works at the Norwegian Directorate of Health as a Senior Adviser since 2002. Her tasks have included monitoring, strategic planning, communication, coordination of tobacco control activities, and international cooperation.

She participated in the preparation of FCTC, both in working groups and as a delegate to the negotiations, and has been attended several FCTC COPs as a delegate. She has participated in the working group on FCTC article 9&10 (regulation of the contents of tobacco products and regulation of tobacco product disclosures) from 2006 till 2016, the first years as one of the key facilitators. She also took part in meetings of the Regulatory Committee for Tobacco Control (TPD 2001/37/EC) and in meetings of the Expert subgroup on the technical implementation of the common reporting/notification format.
