Public Health Agency of Sweden
The Public Health Agency of Sweden has a national responsibility for public health issues and works to ensure good public health. The Agency also works to ensure that the population is protected against communicable diseases and other health threats. The Agency is responsible for coordinated monitoring within alcohol, narcotics, doping and tobacco and compiles, analyses and disseminates knowledge in order to prevent related illness. The Agency is the main supervisory authority in Sweden regarding rules for tobacco and related products in regards to Directive 2014/40/EU and is the competent authority for product notifications in the EU-CEG.
Our key staff members have extensive experience of tobacco and related products, EU-CEG experience, enforcement and market surveillance. Our team is composed of members with different academic backgrounds with practical experience within the area of tobacco and related products.
