Alessandra Lugo

Alessandra Lugo (PhD, female), Head of the Unit of Biostatistics for Observational Epidemiology.
She holds a degree in Biostatistics from the University ofMilan-Bicocca (2012), and a PhD in Biomedical Statistics from the University of Milan (2015).
She is researcher at Mario Negri Institute since 2011.
Since the beginning of her career, shewas involved in the field of tobacco control in Italy and Europe. She obtained a postdocfellowship and a project grant from the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) toestimate cancer mortality attributable to smoking and second-hand smoke in Italy andEurope. She is author of 100 scientific publications, h-index: 26 (Scopus, April 2022).
