DOLORS CARNICER-PONT

Dr. Dolors Carnicer-Pont (MD, MPH, PhD) works in the Tobacco Control Unit of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and participates in the “Joint Action on Tobacco Control ‘ 3rd program of the European Comission, 2016-2019. She is also a co-researcher of projects related to sexually transmitted infections in primary health care centres of the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) and the Primary Health Care Research Institut (IDIAP-Jordi Gol). She has trained and worked as epidemiologist with the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training  (EPIET) and most recently with the Health Protection Agency of the United Kingdom as a locum Consultant of communicable disease control (CCDC) doing epidemiological surveillance and outbreak detection and control. Worked with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in development and assessment of humanitarian projects. She also worked as a consultant in the vaccine department for the World Health Organization (WHO).
