Athens Medical Center is the largest private health provider in Greece with 1200 beds in Athens and Thessaloniki, including children’s and maternity hospitals. In cooperation with the neighboring municipality of Maroussi we are establishing a screening program for the presence of abdominal aortic aneurysms, together with an action for smoking cessation of citizens over the age of 65. At the same time we are putting together a program for smoking cessation during pregnancy at the “GAIA” Maternity Hospital, part of the Athens Medical Center.
