Norwegian Ministry of Health

The Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services (NMoH) is responsible for providing health and care services for the population of Norway, and for public health. The ministry operates by means of a comprehensive legislation, annual budgetary allocations and through various governmental institutions. The Department of Public Health in the Ministry has the overall responsibility for tobacco control policy and legislation in Norway, including the implementation of TPD, national tobacco control strategies and Norway’s follow up of FCTC.
