The Norwegian Medicines Agency (Statenslegemiddelverk, NOMA) evolve and safeguard public and animal health by ensuring the efficacy, quality and safety of medicines and administer and enforce the medical devices regulation.

The Norwegian Medicines Agency (NOMA) will be the competent authority for the registration scheme and product evaluation of e-cigarettes and refill containers in Norway, when TPD enters into force here. The e-cigarette team at NOMA is currently preparing for this new area of responsibility.

The team is composed of members with background in law, toxicology, chemistry and biotechnology, with a wide combination of practical experience and academic backgrounds. We have selected the members that we believe to have the best background to contribute to the relevant some of the WPs, both in terms of experience, educational background and personal qualifications.
